Date: March 2020
On Saturday, 28 March 2020, R.E.A.L. Science held its first introductory online seminar. Together with six of our volunteers on the panel, we spoke about scientific research, careers in science, and introduced our initiative to the 40 participating students, educators, and parents—bringing science one step closer to the classroom.

During this first online meeting, participants who had expressed interest in learning more about the initiative had the opportunity to meet the volunteer scientists of R.E.A.L. Science and the team behind its organization. We were delighted to engage in dialogue, answer questions, exchange ideas, and discuss our hopes and goals for the initiative we have undertaken.

Topics such as the role and potential of an initiative like R.E.A.L. Science in shaping modern school‑based career orientation, and the importance it can hold for Greek students in light of today’s new needs and opportunities, were explored from many different perspectives.
As we closed the session, we thanked everyone for their online presence and set a date for our next meeting—promising that we will continue to give our very best.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our volunteer Nancy Megremi for preparing and sharing this post.
