R.E.A.L. Science collaborated with the Directorate of Secondary Education of Athens C and the KESY Centers of Athens, Rhodes, and Chios to inform educators about our initiative!

On 3 June 2020, the Directorate of Secondary Education of Athens C—through the Heads of Health Education, Environmental Education, and Cultural Affairs—organized an online information session in collaboration with the R.E.A.L. Science school career‑orientation platform and the KESY Centers (Athens D2, Rhodes, and Chios). The session was attended by educators who expressed interest in learning more about our work.
The Directorate was represented by Ioanna Ntinou (also an educational consultant for our initiative), Ioanna Dekatri, and Maria Kaisarli. Career‑orientation consultant Athanasia Kapetaniou spoke about the value R.E.A.L. Science can bring to school‑based career guidance, offering both vocational high schools (EPAL) and general middle and high schools an additional experiential tool for supporting students in planning their professional futures.

From R.E.A.L. Science, the speakers included the initiative’s founder, Dr. Eleni Sinopoulou; the IT and Security Lead, Alexandros Symeonidis, who moderated the discussion; and volunteer scientists Dr. Nikos Amanatidis, Dr. Despina Drizou, and Dr. Athanasia Megremi.
We received thoughtful questions from participating educators about how they can collaborate with our volunteer scientists to implement the program effectively in their schools.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our volunteer Nancy Megremi for preparing and sharing this post.
